QH Core - the heart of the new center

The Berlin architectural firm ROBERTNEUN was commissioned with the planning for QH Core. The result is a metropolitan block around a landscaped courtyard whose brick façade reflects an essential element of the site’s history: its former use as a railroad and commercial area. The industrial character of the building refers to important examples of Berlin’s industrial brick architecture, such as the Ullstein House in Tempelhof or the Klingenberg Power Station in Lichtenberg. The brick facade is equally reminiscent of station architecture from the heyday of the railroad, such as the listed Hackescher Markt S-Bahn station from 1882.

The building features a felicitous mix of offices, apartments, restaurants and retail. Here you will already find a large REWE store with a diverse range of products and a dm drugstore. QH Core borders the neighborhood square to the north, where the restaurants with their respective terraces are also located. An ideal place for lunch, a business lunch or a glass of wine after work. The spaces are designed in such a way that the offices face Heidestraße, while the apartments are arranged towards the quieter sides.

Here, all functions such as heating, lighting and blinds can also be controlled remotely via the smart home app. The processes inside the building are equally well thought-out: Access to the underground carpark involves no barriers, with payment being handled simply by number-plate recognition. Just as easy is the way from here to your apartment. Directly via elevator – if you don’t want to conveniently pick up the parcel that was delivered to the in-house parcel station first. This is the digital future you can move into. Built for those who love life.
